Job description:

We are looking for a talented CAD Design Engineer to join our team at MAVAR Dynamics and contribute to the design, development, and control of future transmission and driveline systems. The position is in the Tunis Area with flexibility for some work from home.

Availability: Office Full-Time

Responsibilities:

CAD Data & Configuration Management

• Develop and manage harmonized CAD data structures supporting vehicle development and design release activities.
• Create and maintain advanced study trees, pre-production structures, variants, and MCA configurations.
• Support Teamcenter variant management, build effectivity, and configuration control throughout the product development lifecycle.

BOM, Data Integrity & Release Management

• Manage pre-production BOM structures and release metrics to ensure alignment with production design intent.
• Monitor and resolve EBOM-Teamcenter alignment issues while maintaining data integrity across prioritized tracked variants.
• Support design release activities and ensure readiness for key development milestones and vehicle launches.

Teamcenter Administration & Support

• Administer Teamcenter data structures, security, and workflows.
• Perform data migration support, component repositioning, and issue resolution to maintain system reliability.
• Facilitate handoff activities between functional teams, ensuring accurate configuration, positioning, and data ownership.

Reporting, Analytics & Compliance

• Generate and manage design integrity, release status, and production readiness reports.
• Develop specialty reports and analytics, including weight tracking, trend analysis, where-used studies, and other business metrics.
• Lead the mitigation and remediation of CAD and BOM data non-compliance issues across global vehicle programs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with architecture, product lifecycle, manufacturing, and engineering stakeholders to establish Teamcenter configurations and processes that support enterprise needs.
• Drive best practices, lessons learned, process improvements, and tool enhancements.
• Support organizational standardization efforts to improve data quality, efficiency, and product development execution.

Qualification & Requirements:

Product Lifecycle Management & Vehicle Development

• Experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), automotive engineering development, and engineering design release processes.
• Experience supporting vehicle development programs, prototype builds, production launches, and global engineering initiatives.
• Familiarity with engineering change management and product development workflows.

Product Configuration & Data Management

• Strong understanding of BOM management, product structures, configurations, and variant management.
• Experience creating and maintaining engineering configurations, product structures, and release deliverables.
• Ability to analyze and resolve data integrity, CAD-to-BOM, and configuration management issues.

CAD & Engineering Systems

• Working knowledge of CAD platforms such as CATIA, NX, or Creo.
• Experience managing engineering data and supporting digital product definition processes.

Reporting, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

• Experience developing and analyzing engineering metrics, release status reports, weight analysis, trend analysis, and where-used reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and engineering reporting tools.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience preferred.

Professional & Collaboration Skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and program teams.

Academic level:

• Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Engineer degree in a relevant field.
• Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
