Job description:

We are looking for a talented Release Engineer to join our team at MAVAR Dynamics and contribute to the design, development of future transmission and driveline systems. The position is in the Tunis Area with flexibility for some work from home.

Availability: Office Full-Time

Responsibilities:

Dimensional Engineering & Product Definition

  • Develop, document, and maintain dimensional requirements, datum schemes, tolerances, measurement points, and source package requirements for components and assemblies.
  • Apply, review, and approve GD&T, dimensional specifications, and engineering drawings.
  • Support product design validation by establishing robust dimensional control strategies throughout the product development lifecycle.
Dimensional Analysis & Variation Management
  • Perform 1D stack-up studies and 3D variation analyses to evaluate tolerance schemes, assembly concepts, locating strategies, and process alternatives.
  • Analyze dimensional and build data to validate designs, identify variation sources, and support root cause investigations.
  • Lead geometric quality convergence activities and drive resolution of dimensional concerns through structured problem-solving methodologies.

Measurement, Gauging & Validation

  • Coordinate inspections, testing, measurement activities, and documentation in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Provide dimensional measurement and validation support for automotive components and assemblies.
  • Support gauge and checking fixture reviews, Gauge R&R studies, and recommend appropriate gauging strategies to ensure measurement capability and repeatability.

Quality Improvement & Manufacturing Support

  • Validate product and process designs, assembly concepts, and geometric requirements to ensure manufacturing feasibility and product quality.
  • Identify and resolve dimensional, manufacturing, and assembly quality issues through data-driven analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support vehicle launches, industrialization activities, and production readiness efforts while achieving quality and BCI KPI targets.

Supplier & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supplier, and part conformity teams to ensure dimensional integrity across the product lifecycle.
  • Interface with suppliers to define and resolve dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and alignment to support successful product development and launch activities.

Standards, Processes & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and implement dimensional control processes, geometric monitoring plans, and quality assurance fixture strategies.
  • Ensure dimensional standards, methodologies, and best practices are consistently applied across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier organizations.
  • Create and maintain dimensional engineering best-practice documentation while driving continuous improvement and lessons-learned initiatives.  


Qualification & Requirements:

GD&T & Dimensional Engineering

  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and documentation, with the ability to create, interpret, and apply ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Experience developing dimensional requirements, tolerancing schemes, and performing dimensional stack-up analyses.
  • Ability to conduct 1D, 2D, and 3D tolerance studies and drive design solutions based on dimensional analysis results.

Quality, Metrology & Process Control

  • Knowledge of metrology, gaging systems, measurement equipment, and dimensional verification techniques.
  • Understanding of quality control principles, measurement systems analysis, and statistical process control methodologies.
  • Familiarity with process capability metrics (Cp/Cpk, Pp/Ppk), root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.

Engineering Standards & Manufacturing Knowledge

  • Familiarity with industry standards and methodologies including ASME, ISO, AIAG, and related engineering specifications.
  • Understanding of vehicle design, assembly processes, manufacturing variation, and process control principles.

CAD & Engineering Tools

  • Experience with CAD and product data management systems, including CATIA, NX, and Teamcenter.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Analytical & Professional Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • High level of English proficiency, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated learner with a proactive approach to professional development and continuous improvement.

Academic level:

Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.

Engineer degree in a relevant field.

Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
